Harnessing Opportunities For Informed Investments In The Sorghum Community Value Chain In Tanzania

This study was conducted among sorghum farmers, focus groups, seed producers and extension officers in 10 districts of Tanzania to map out business opportunities along the sorghum value chain. Results obtained demonstrated that socio-economic factors such as number of years spent in school, group membership, availability of free seeds, market accessibility and seed accessibility influenced the adoption of improved varieties among sorghum farmers.
